Chapter Twelve

Kayla rushed in, preparing her next attack. Amelia looked up at her, smiling in excitement.

“You’re here!” she said.

“Course I am. I’m here to stop this bastard from harassing my girlfriend,” Kayla said.

She couldn’t believe her father. Kidnapping her daughter’s girlfriend and harassing her like this. It made Kayla sick to her stomach. She didn’t know what she would do right now, but she had one plan, and one plan only.

And that of course, was to fight back.

But her dad sat there, patting the area across from her.

“Come on Kayla, I just want to talk. It put things into a little bit more of a…perspective,” he said.

Kayla hesitated.

She had her gun in her hand, hiding it of course. What did he want? She then looked at him and sat down gingerly across.

“What do you want dad? Or should I say Dave, because what kind of sick bastard does this to their kid,” she said.

“Oh, I’m just here to give you some encouragement Kayla. Trust me, you seem to like it,” he said.

Kayla paused, looking at her dad. What was his endgame? What did he plan to do with everything here?

“What do you want with me, Dad? Why do you keep doing this?” she asked.

“Isn’t it obvious there Kayla? I want what’s mine,” he said.

What as his? She looked at him with concern and confusion.

“What do you mean? None of this is yours whatsoever, so what does that mean?” she asked.

“It’s simple, really. I want you to give me what’s mine. The business,” he said lowly.

Kayla paused.

“It isn’t yours. I made this on my own. I got my own loan out, paid it back, and I grew it to where it is today. You’re just bullying me because you believe this is the right thing to do,” she said.

He looked at her, shaking his head.

“You seriously think that? No, I made sure that they gave the loan, so that you could be approved for it,” he replied. T

That sounded like a bunch of bullshit. It didn’t seem right, and for Amelia, something about this sounded off. She looked at him with a glare, and then, after a brief second, she spoke.

“You’re lying. I know that you are. I know the truth about you father. You literally run a syndicate of men who want nothing more than to control everything. And the thing is, I’m not here for that. In fact, I’m not going to be the one who finishes you off either,” she stated.

He looked at her with both concern, and curiosity.

“Really now? And why do you say that? Don’t you want your revenge? Your time to take me out and all,” he teased.

“I’d love that dad, but I think…I think I’m going to let these guys do it,” Kayla said.

Suddenly, the door busted open, and a bunch of officers came in. Kayla’s father stood up, looking at Kayla with a glance.

“Die you little bitch!” he said.

He pulled out a gun, and then, there was a bang. Kayla narrowly escaped it, but of course, the police officers were at her father, taking him down instantly.
